Saya bertanya alasan alasan apa saja, sehingga mereka masih enggan memakai joomla,

Tarigan  : Sudah pernah tahu CMS, khususnya Joomla CMS..?

Tugiran : Sudah, aku tahu sudah banyak situs situs menggunakan Joomla, yang personal, corporate, maupun situs pemerintaan sekalipun. Tapi saya belum pernah sama sekali makai joomla

Tarigan  : Kira kira alasan nya kok nda pakai joomla

Tugiran : Banyak Bug nya, banyak situs joomla yang jadi bulan bulanan para dedemit cyber, lihat tu di zone-h maupun di detik, sering banget bertebaran site joomla yang korban defaced.

Tarigan : Kira kira mengapa sampai itu terjadi, apakah adminnya yang nda update Modue, component yang dipakai. Memakai module , component ang mengandung bug, kesalahan script, atau adminnya yang salah dalam configurasi file akses.

Tugiran : Rata rata sih karena Bug pada Module, atau component yang dipakai, tapi menurut aku itu tidak akan terjadi kalau admintnya Update dan mengikuti perkembangan, tapi gimana Support dari Joomla Dev nya..?

Tarigan : Setiap Module atau component yang di release, setiap dev maupun thrid party developers, akan selalu memberitahukan apakah module itu sudah fix, atau akan merelease kembali versi yang fix

sebagai masukan, joomla setiap mengeluarkan versi yang lebih tinggi, akan menyertakan informasi seperti contoh berikut ini :

Tugiran : Adakah vendor yang bertanggung jawab kalau joomla yang dipakai di web kita itu rusak, ..?

Tarigan : Joomla sepenuhnya didukung oleh ribuan dev nya dan Joomla! is dependent on third party extensions, Soal licensing, aku jawabnya in english ya "Open Source Matters has the copyright on the combined entity. The copyright is derivative of the underlying copyrights held by the people who developed the code and is subject to licensing limitations",  selanjutnya temen sekelas aku ya yang jawab, soal licensing itu

This means that installing/adding a component/module/plugin to Joomla! is creating a combined work, if the third party developer doesn't want to violate the GPL he will need to release the module/component/plugin under the GPL or GPL-compatible license. It also means that a third party developer cannot encrypt his extension, without also making the code available when distributing the extension (hence the term open source license).

Tugiran :  Who are the copyright/license owners of  extensions that work with Joomla?

Tarigan : The developers of those extensions.

------------------ CUT........ soal ini jangan diteruskan, karena sedang dalam peributan antar dev nya joomla...sudah biasa, kalau sebuah project yang sudah besar, akan selalu mempeributkan soal licensing nya

Tugiran : Untuk pengelolaan/maintenan nya apakah lebih susah daripada kalau aku cooding sendiri

Tarigan : Kebetulan dalam pengelolaan Joomla tidak begitu menuntut untuk mengetahui expert web cooding

Tugiran : bagaimana Joomla dengan Ajax functionality..?

Tarigan : Joomlas system is locked up, its hard to implement any ajax functionality  at all, you have to rely on component and module hacks. And most of the good ajax components or modules have different libraries, that often collide and equire hacks.
AND some are commercial, so source code is not allowed to be changed. Joomla 1.5 have ajax functionallity built in to backend

Demikianlah percakapan "bodoh" antara tugiran dan tarigan,  dibilang percakapan bodoh, soalnya ngobrolnya di kantin, pas lagi males malesnya masuk kuliah
