Tutorial Joomla Generate Flickr API Key
To generate an API key for your Flickr account follow this short tutorial.
1. Apply for an API key
The first thing you need to do is to apply for an API Key. This isn’t a long drawn out process you simply need to complete the form found here.
2. Complete the details
Fill in the fields such as name, email address, select non-commerical and fill in a description for your API key application
Agree to the terms and conditions and click apply.
Your API Key will now be displayed on screen (make a note of this).
3. Configure your key
Click the option below your key to configure the key
You will now be taken to a API Key Authentication Setup screen. Complete the details.
Title and Description are required for all applications - the Logo is optional.
The Application URL should point to a page on your website describing your application, but is optional. All four of these fields are used when asking a user if they want to allow your application to authenticate them.
Once configured click the save changes button
4. View your API Key
Once you’ve been issued a key, it will appear in this list.
Note down the API Key and Shared Secret - as you’ll need these in the future. |
